3DBS OFFERS ELECTROSPINNING SERVICES: CUSTOMIZING NANO AND MICROSCALE FIBERS

3DBS offers fibers and electrospinning services for the production of nanoscale and microscale fibers.

Electrospinning technology produces fibrous matrices from natural and/or synthetic polymers. A voltage difference between a polymer solution and a grounded collector produces fibers with diameters between 200 nm and 5 µm (customizable parameters).

Electrospinning provides a simple and cost-effective means to produce fibrous matrices with an interconnected pore structure and fiber diameters in the submicron range.

Due to its application as scaffolds, where the cell support is similar to the extracellular matrix, this technique has received attention in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, enabling 3D cell culture.

The combination of electrospinning and bioprinting techniques has shown promise for the development of new biomaterials and applications.

Syringe Infusion Pump

This infusion pump has the capacity for one syringe, with volumes ranging from 2 mL up to 50 mL.

The device includes a user interface, where you can control the position, speed, and stop time of the syringes. The interface has a micro controlled board, buttons, and potentiometers for value adjustments.

Rotating Drum Colector

This device allows collecting matrices at the nano and micrometric scales, with random or aligned deposition. The alignment depends on the speed of the drum rotation.
